Kingdom of the Night VI: The Twisted Path

Wonderful, the morning sun.
Blackened by the joy of life itself, inverted.
Thunder to announce a new day has begun,
Perverted.

Sadistic smiles admire the desecration,
As history becomes the past in burning pyres of liberation,
At last the rot is cast away, an end to sacrifice and to libation.
Sway with intoxication, inhale the smoke as it ascends towards the sky.

Internal voices slowly silenced.
Eternity is cleaved, reduced to naught.
Just one more step outside the nightly silence,
Embrace the nightmares the new day has brought.

Accept the lashes or dispense them,
Scatter the ashes or collect them,
Orgy in mud which rises to the navel,
Adrenaline chem-writing a cruel fable.

The judge’s gavel thrown aside,
Pleasure and pain are intertwined
Wonderful, the morning sun.
Hatred, pure is Beauty’s sum.

The hounds are hunting,
Helpless lambs on the run
Barks and laughter,
Round the table,
They go faster.
Splatters.
Silence.
