Kingdom of the Night VIII: Justice

Drag hooks into my eyes,
And rip them out,
Bestow upon me blindness
So that I shall not see the failures I have wrought.

All was for nothing,
I can do without,
The knowledge that was bought,
With my own self-deception.

Take my eyes out,
Grant me that single kindness.
Before I die upon my condemnation and my pride.
Lies I believed, believe and yet know false

I knew the Judgement Day would come,
And the die cast would sooner fall.
Than lofty dwell upon the air.
Oh great despair, I once gave my all

Betrayed by my own measure,
By a single hair,
Which separated me,
From what I had become.

I dare not see the answer to my pleading,
So do your deed false idol or true God,
It matters not let there be no perception
By me, of me, erased, I’ve become none.
